Pilgrim Day at Chester Cathedral Our Y4 and 5 children went on a Pilgrim Day to Chester Cathedral. See the images in the gallery below! A Pilgrim is a person who goes on a special journey, to a special place, for a special reason. They made prayer bracelets, each coloured bead represented a different prayer. Children took part in the retelling of the story of St Werburgh, after whom the cathedral is named. They had to take a vow of silence! Just like the monks who lived here. The children took part in workshops learning about Bell Ringing, the Art of Calligraphy and made beautiful cards with Illuminated Letters.
